Technique: Mixed media on black paper (glitter, airbrush, white ink and spray)
The work is a deep material study that uses the absolute absorption of light by the black background to highlight the play of reflections and atmospheric layers. The handwork here brings an authentic imperfection and energy that the digital medium cannot replicate.
Material dialogue:
• Geometric order (Glitter): The dominant shapes created by glitter stand out from the surface in a three-dimensional effect. Their ability to refract light gives the composition a changing character – the work “comes to life” with every movement of the viewer.
• Atmospheric depth (Airbrush & Spray): The use of airbrush with white ink creates soft, hazy transitions that evoke cosmic nebula or urban haze. It is contrasted by white spray, which gives the texture a raw, “street-art” accent and dynamism.
• Linear precision: The vertical lines on the left serve as a visual anchor that defines the space and adds an architectural dimension to the composition.
