The role of glitter and “spray” (texture)

The use of glitter and tiny dots of spray paint brings an important contrast to the smooth transitions in the works:

• Space/star effect: Glitter and dots are reminiscent of a starry sky or dust in a sunbeam. This gives the images a dimension of infinity.

• Restlessness in stillness: While the background is soft and soothing, glitter and “splashes” add energy, dynamism and a kind of visual noise that disrupts the perfection of the gradient. It is an interesting element of randomness in an otherwise controlled process.

3. What does it express as a whole?

These works could be seen as:

• Emotional landscapes: They do not try to depict a specific tree or house, but rather the feeling a person has when looking at the sky or feeling the warmth of the sun.

• Meditation: The process of applying spray paint in fine layers and then adding details is very meditative. For the viewer, this can serve as a tool to calm the mind.

• Minimalism: By focusing on pure color and texture, you force the viewer to stop and perceive only the “essence” of the color itself, without distracting elements.
