Works that are created by a dialogue between darkness and light.

This series of paintings is the result of precise layering and gradual revelation. The basis of each work is a photoluminescent (phosphorescent) base that carries energy. Using the masking technique with self-adhesive paper, I apply a layer of black paint, which subsequently defines the shapes and geometric composition. After peeling off the mask, a glowing motif is revealed under the black layer – light that was originally hidden.

• Technique: Combination of stencil technique, acrylic spray and photoluminescent medium.

• Characteristics: The works function as living elements; in ordinary light they appear as contrasting, minimalist abstractions, but after dark they change and reveal their glowing function.

• Philosophy: The series is a celebration of opposites – darkness and light, hidden and revealed, static and radiant. Shine in the dark.
